Lung Health Analyses

A Systems Framework for Phenotyping and Precision Intervention

Lung health analysis is an international forum comprising reviews and monthly newsletters dedicated to understanding how biological, environmental and social factors modify the susceptibility, expression, progression and treatment response of lung disease. Our mission is to accelerate discovery and translation by delineating which modifiers matter, how they operate, and how they can be used to prevent disease, improve classification, enhance prognostication, and optimise therapy.

Priority areas include:

  • Sex- and gender-specific lung health
  • Pulmonary vascular biology and pulmonary circulation disorders
  • Respiratory microbiome and metabolome
  • Post-infectious and post-acute sequelae, including long-COVID
  • Exposome, occupational and environmental determinants
  • Neuro-immune and autonomic modifiers (e.g. dysautonomia)
  • Systems and precision respiratory medicine
  • Biomarker development, treatable traits and patient stratification
  • Interactions between lung and other organ systems (heart–lung axis, gut–lung axis, neuro–lung axis)
